• Minimum age for Groups A, B, J, K, V1 is 21 years; for all other groups is 25 years. Maximum age for all car groups is 79 years old.
• For all drivers aged from 21 to 24 and from 71 to 79 an additional charge is applied according to rental terms.
• All drivers must hold a valid driving license for at least 1 year. 
  The driver must be a credit or debit card holder, acceptable to Hertz, for the pre-approval of the amounts related to guarantee, the advance payment and the payment of the rental cost (not for prepaid rentals). 

Only drivers mentioned in the rental agreement are allowed to drive a Hertz vehicle.

Yes, you may add additional driver(s) at your rental agreement. This can happen: 

• During your online booking process, select at the 3rd booking step ("Select extras") the service "Extra Driver".
• Through the Online Check-in service, after you have completed your reservation (Online or by phone).
• During the process of completing your agreement, at the service point.
• During the rental process, at any Hertz service point.

The additional driver must comply the rental conditions and have a valid driving license with him, which he must show before renting the car.

The daily charge is €6 plus VAT for each additional driver, capped at 15 days.

Upon pick up of the vehicle, Hertz will preauthorize an amount from the driver's credit card as a deposit for guarantee which will be fully refunded at the end of the rental, provided no other charges arise. Please note that the refund can take up to 14 days, depending on the issuing bank of the credit card. The amount of the deposit varies according to the car group. Specifically:

• A, B, J, K, V1, V2: €300
• C, D, M, V3: €500
• N, R, 8, E,: €750
• Y, YL, 5, 9 V4, V5: €950
